    Position Summary
      This position is responsible for the day-to-day tracking and management of the MaineHealth real estate portfolio in Maine and New Hampshire, with an eye towards risk management, timely assessment of key dates, and potential savings. The candidate will assist with long-range strategic planning and works closely with Property Management, Legal, Finance, Design & Construction, MaineHealth Medical Group, and all MH affiliates. This position reports to the Director of Real Estate and Property Management.
      • Database Management for all MH leased and owned properties
      • Timely Management of the Leased Portfolio
      • Management of the Owned Portfolio
      • Primary point of contact for Property Management’s real estate needs
      • Expands knowledge of Maine and New Hampshire commercial real estate markets
      • Aggregates real estate data/information from a variety of sources for property/market assessments, assists with interpretation and recommendations to senior leadership
      • Provides support on or leads specialized real estate projects
      • Capable of multi-tasking; some presentation preparation required; knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, life-safety requirements, and Stark Laws a plus

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in the areas of Real Estate, Business, Finance, or an equivalent major.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 3-years minimum of commercial real estate experience preferred, with an intermediary understanding of (or an aptitude and desire to learn about) leasing/sales, market metrics/pricing, and the life-cycle of a real estate transaction.
    • Experience preferred with some or all – Working with architects/engineers, brokers, attorneys; title reviews, deed language, sale/lease contracts; site and building plans; municipal maps, zoning, ordinance review; and feasibility studies.
    • Strong analytical skills to effectively research, gather, and interpret data for sound recommendations, with an ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Able to effectively communicate with a wide range of internal and external personnel, including MH Leadership, Brokers, Landlords, Tenants, Municipalities, etc.
    • Software fluency with Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Quickbase (preferred)
